Our immune system is responsible for defending our body from disease-causing cells.
In an Australian study, it was discovered that our immune system kills spontaneous blood cancer cells every day, Thus, it is our responsibility to take care of it.
The good news is, strengthening our immune system is not rocket science, just a few daily healthy lifestyle habits improve our immune system drastically.
Below are some lifestyle habits that one should follow in order to boost/ strengthen their immune system.

1. A rich diet in Fruits and Vegetables

It’s no secret that a poor diet is more vulnerable to infectious diseases than a rich one.
So for diet, it is advised to go mainly for non-starchy veggies such as Spinach, kale, onions, mushrooms, and garlic.
For fruits, it is advised to go with the Citrus ones (Grapefruit, oranges, lemons, tangerines, etc)

2. Regular Exercising

Regular Exercising is one of the most significant points of a healthy lifestyle. Not only it helps in maintaining body weight and improve our heart health but plays an important role in strengthening our immune system to protect us from various diseases.
Regular exercise contributes a lot to a healthy immune system. By allowing proper circulation of cells in our body it helps them with their tasks.

3. Get Adequate Sleep

Based upon a study, it was discovered that people who didn’t get quality sleep or enough sleep were more prone to get sick after being exposed to a virus, such as the common cold virus.

While you sleep, your immune system releases a certain protein called cytokines. These cytokines are required whenever you suffer from an infection or inflammation or stressful times.
Lack of sleep may result in fewer production of these protective proteins, thus, less infection-fighting antibodies.

4. Minimize Stress

Well, it has been proven that there is a closely linked relationship between our body and mind.
There have been several studies, one of which indicated the effect of stress on our digestive system. During stress, digestion is stressful whereas, in the situation of no stress the digestive system works more effectively and in a relaxed manner. Stress responses result in increased strain upon our circulatory system because of the increased heart rate which is extremely bad for the immune system.
It is advised to meditate daily for at least 15–20 minutes in order to create a balance between our mind and body.
